School

Teachers and pupils are invited to come and discover the Neues Museum together. The building’s architecture and the various objects on display provide ample material for archaeological, ethnological, art and cultural historical lines of inquiry. A visit to the Neues Museum can be planned in such a way to be relevant to nearly any school subject.

The National Museums’ Visitor Services are dedicated to the long-term cooperation between school and museum and offer a range of special educational programmes. The tours, workshops and teaching materials on offer are based on the curriculum and tailored to the various age groups and subjects.

Admission is free for pupils when accompanied by a teacher; all tours available from the National Museums are free of charge for groups of children up to Year 10 (up to and including age 16).

Museum visits with school groups – please give prior notice of groups, even if no guided tour is booked!

Kindly note that during the hours of 10 to 1 p.m. from Monday to Friday, school groups from Berlin or Brandenburg schools will only be granted admission when their visit has been arranged with the Visitor Services beforehand. Groups will otherwise have to queue, as registered groups are given priority.
